AIN'T LIKE IT USED TO BE

BALLBUSTER
Kentucky - January 1998
"Innuendo has a great sound... The heaviest song of the 7 on this CD is a Queen cover entitled Dragon Attack. It contains some heavy guitar riffing, some funky guitar work, an interesting percussion solo and a cool bass solo".

FANFARE
Belgium - May 1997

HM
Austin, Texas - October 1997
"Here's a melodic hard rock CD that's performed as well as any I've heard lately".

JAM RAG
Detroit - October 1997
"For their style, the music is pretty inspirational... All the songs were presented in good taste. Without Your Love, a technical ballad was cool. These guys are not local Detroiter's. I guess that's where my prejudice starts and ends. They are a decent band out of Arizona".

MUSIC VOICE MAGAZINE
Phoenix - March 1997
"Innuendo favors a more commercially accessible rock than the flavor-of-the-day being currently beaten to death by many other local bands... On their latest offering, "Ain't Like It Used To Be", things are more or less like they used to be, not that that is a bad thing. The band is still doing melody-heavy, hook-laden, AOR-friendly 3 to 4 minute compositions... As a whole, real ears would have to determine that "Ain't Like It Used To Be" is as good a release, within it's genre, as many national products, and better than others".

STRIKE ROCK MAGAZINE
Brazil - February 1998
"O nome da banda e o cover de Dragon Attack sugerem mais uma tentativa frustrada de soar como Queen. Felizmente nao e por ai. O Innuendo faz um Hard rock comercialzao, mas competente e bem trabalhado. O vocal da banda tem altos e baixos, deixando um pouco a desjar em algumas faixas, como na propria Dragon Attack".

STRUTTER
Holland - April 1997
"In the last issue we discussed the debut CD of these American rockers. We can now discuss their 2nd CD titled "Ain't Like It Used To Be". The CD contains 7 songs. I think the new CD is better than their debut. On the new CD we hear good melodic hardrock."

THE MUSIC PAPER
New York - April 1997
"Here's one of those bands that's stuck together for a while and has stuck to doing what it does best rather than jumping aboard the alternative music bandwagon. Innuendo falls into a Firehouse/Bad Company bandwagon category, by which I mean the lead vocals and harmonies are great and all four members are accomplished players... the band avoids the trap of the over-produced '80's sound (despite the occasional use of keyboards), leaning more toward a mid-to-late '70's rock approach. The material is as strong as the band, but it's the strong harmonies that set Innuendo apart from the pack".
