"... very elegant... professional... melodic rock stained with pop... very successful... excellently executed"

Music Mayhem - Florida - May 2005

"This trio out of Phoenix, Arizona has been around for about 10 years, and this is their 6th independent release. Their experience shows in the musicianship, and in the production and layout of the songs. This is straight ahead pop/rock with some great acoustic type ballads. The songwrighting is superb, and they experiment with different instruments on several songs."

AORMusic - Sweden - May 2005

"Innuendo is a 3-piece-band that goes far back. This is actually their 6th self-produced record since 1994... The style is more of a pop / rock, with touches of blues... I have a few favorites on the record. The opener, "Best Thing I Never Had", has a strange intro, but what a great song! The rocker, "30 Second Smile" is also great, as well as "Can't Remember" and "I Still Think Of You"... The record is really good and the guys are unsigned!"

Rock'N'Roll Dream Magazine - Finland - May 2005

"Innuendo comes from Phoenix/Arizona, U.S.A. and they play melodic hard rock/pop, or at least I would say so. Half Empty is their sixth album and according to the reviews that I have read, Innuendo is pretty popular in the hard rock scene."

Rock Angels - Spain - April 2005

"A veteran band with diverse musical influences where melody is the common denominator... The sweet and melodic voice of Andy Watts, and the precious vocal harmonies create some very attractive play of voices." (translated from Spanish)

Rock United - Sweden - December 2004
http://www.aor-europe.com/a_et_r_2004.htm
"...one of the better independent melodic hardock acts from the states. Classy harmonies and sing-a-long melodies has always been their trademark.... sweet, melodic, singer... Watts is a power tenor with a voice that is instantly memorable... Tracking for this album was done by drummer Dave Beyer (ex-Melissa Ethridge) in LA (he also plays on a track), as well as at the band's studio in Pheonix... There's also a fine cover of "Oh Darling" (The Beatles), included between the originals."

Bright Eyes - Germany - March 2005

"...relaxed... freshness... soundgourmets."

PowerPlay - United Kingdom - November 2004
http://www.powerplaymagazine.com.uk
"...well crafted songs that aren't afraid to flex their muscles. The key word for this CD is diversity... In guitar player Brett Richey they have a man who can play with the best of them. His ability on the guitar is what lifts this album from out of the ordinary. He also has a knack of writing strong, catchy melodies... certainly as good as anything that the likes of MTM, Frontiers and the like are putting out."

Medazzarock - Switzerland - December 2004

"HALF EMPTY is already the 5th studio record from the hardworking band INNUENDO (Phoenix, Arizona). What we have here is an interesting mixture of pop/rock/melodic rock. Singer Andy Watts have a good voice that fits perfectly into this kind of music, Mike Whitman on drums is givin’ the whole thing a tight background and Brett Richey shows his talent on guitar (but without some egostic playing – he always gives the songs what they deserve)... HALF EMPTY is a good and interesting record."

Slam - Italy - December 2004

"...very professional... the songs are excellently performed, with a predisposition for the most melodic AOR... unfailing vocals." (translated from Italian)

Hard Rock House - United Kingdom - November 2004

"It is evident from the packaging and press release booklet that came with this album, that Innuendo aren’t playing games. With the CD, came a booklet which included a fairly in depth bio and eight pages of reviews from various other web sites and magazines. And every review is positive, of course they’re not going publicise the bad ones but listening to the album I can’t disagree with most of what I’ve read. It has been a difficult year as a reviewer, because there ain’t much rubbish around. In fact I can’t remember the last album I hated and this isn’t going to be one. Centered around guitar player, principal songwriter and engineer Brett Richey, “Half Empty” is a collection of well-written, well played songs. Stylistically, the band have bluesy, soulful, AOR leanings. As a three piece completed by vocalist Andy Watts and drummer Mike Whitman they’ve managed to produce a quality album, it’s completely against the current trends and to their collective credit, that’s a brave move. It is too easy to jump on the nearest bandwagon and make music that you don’t believe in just to ensure that you make a quid... There’s a good mix of acoustic and electric guitar throughout the album, which gives each song a slightly broader dimension... Overall, “Half Empty” is difficult to fault, a very easy listen and a very high standard of song writing... There’s talent here and a fine product."

Moodswings - Northern Ireland - October 2004

"Half Empty sees the band toughen up their sound...rich vocal harmonies... once again Innuendo have done an excellent job on the production side... this is a good album which will appeal to variety of music fans."

Hard Rock Haven - Kansas City - October 2004

"The band markets themselves very well and are no rookies to the music industry... Innuendo is proof positive that there is still plenty of talent that the mainstream music industry has turned its back on. The band's songs are catchy and the CD is well worth a listen."

Mundo Rock - Argentina - September 2004

"Half Empty is an excellent example of what quality music can become, without the necessities of great capital or over-productions... the sound obtained is really shining, and worthy of praise... very good work... excellent production... recommended." (translated from Spanish)

"Innuendo has a very interesting sound with strong vocal harmonies mixed with lovely melodies and the production has major label quality for sure... high quality songs... there are lots of ear candy & well crafted songs... awesome melodies and hook lines... The ballads on the album are beautiful... Andy Watts has a strong soaring voice that suits Innuendo´sound just perfect and gives the songs extra life together with the strong harmony vocals. Those of you that already own an album with these American sensation should get this new album pronto and for those who never heard of this album I can only say that you don't wanna miss this one. A strong album filled with mellow catchy melodic rock. Pure class."

"The only certainty while listening to this disc is the fact that this group is truly talented, able to give birth to original melodies and mouthfuls of emotion... a feeling of pleasure and freshness seizes us upon entry... Half Empty is an undeniable success! 89/100" (translated, badly, from French)

Strutter - The Netherlands - October 2004
http://www.strutter.8m.com
"The band Innuendo has been releasing albums ever since we started our magazine and that’s quite some time ago. In fact, when they released their first album back in 1995, it was one of the first reviews we did!... a strong focus on close harmony vocals during the songs, really making every song a memorable and very melodic song... (Points: 8.4 out of 10)"

Rock Report - Belguim - September 2004
http://www.rockreport.be/review.asp?id=845
"If I have to name one band that refuses to jump on any bandwagon, I must name Innuendo. Averse to any trend, Brett and the guys are doing what they want and they do it in style... I have to say that this is the most powerful they have produced so far... Good album, guys!"

Get Out Magazine - Phoenix - September 9, 2004
http://getoutaz.com/music/index.shtml
"On their sixth CD, Innuendo continue to drive hard rock into a head-on collision with pop, creating a sound that blends rich melodies with crunchy guitars and a dose of bombast... Guitarist Brett Richey is a solid rock player, adept at 12 string acoustic passages, soaring twin guitar leads and heavy power chording... a good listen."
