Consumption of red beans is highly recommended because it can slow the release of calories in the body, delay the hunger and postpone the satiated. Red beans and whole grains (oats) is a good source of soluble fiber. But it turned out that the red beans will be more beneficial for the diet than wheat. Red beans are better source for the heart than whole wheat, because its soluble fiber and has more antioxidants than whole wheat. But unfortunately, people are rarely eating it.
