Current smokers were 59% more likely to enter menopause before reach the age of 45, while early menopause almost two times more common among women who smoked the most.

But for the women who had quit smoking at least a decade before menopause is 87% more likely compare to others who smoked currently and had entered early menopause. Compared to married women, the widowers also face an increased risk of early menopause, as well as women who said that their health condition is worse. Educated women less likely to enter early menopause, but they are also less likely to be a smoker.
