The Effect of Oversleeping on Obesity
Having good sleep was very necessary to maintain our stamina. But it turned out, oversleeping have a negative effect for the health. We were immediately interested to explore this more clearly, because sleep is one of our hobby that we do mostly. And, we get valuable information that having too much sleep or better known as oversleeping, is related to several dangerous diseases, such as headaches, diabetic, heart disease, obesity, and can even cause death. There are several studies that we read about oversleeping that you’ve probably never known before.
One of the bad effects that made us starts thinking to reduce the time of our “lazy” sleep on holiday was the possibility of obesity. For the women, this word can instantly make them shudder. There is a research which found that sleeping for 90-10 hours every night, has 21% greater risk of obesity within the next six years, than those who slept 7-8 hours every night. Not only with the threat of obesity, there’s another research from the Nurses Health which states that oversleeping can cause heart disease.
Hmm, maybe the schedule to wake up late should be removed from the holiday’s list. Another research was conduct on 72. 000 women. Those who slept between 9-11 hours each night, has 38% higher risk of coronary heart disease, than those who slept for 8 hours. Unfortunately, this study does not mention the connection between oversleeping and heart disease.
Wow I never realized that sleeping in is bad for obesity. i guess that is why plastic surgeons are making a fortune! haha
