facemask01 Facial MaskTrace back the history of facial mask in the ancient times. In the ancient Egyptian, the facial mask was made of mud and clay which used as a part of routine skin treatment. In the 17th century, the European women were recorded using milk and eggs in order to enhance the appearance of their skin.

All around the world, natural ingredients such as fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants found their way to become several forms of facial mask. Facial mask is an important component for the right skin treatment. It cleanses the skin by depriving the pores and remove dirt which is embedded beneath the skin surface. It also provides a healthy glow to the skin by nourishing and replenishing the lost moisture.

There are many facial masks for every skin type. However, clay and oatmeal are the most popular materials for facial mask. Here are some common facial mask recipes that you can try at home: Facial Mask for Normal and Oily Skin – Mix 2 teaspoons of clay with 2 tablespoons of yogurt. Add a few drops of mint extract and water just enough to make a soft paste.

Facial Mask for Dry and Sensitive Skin – Mix smooth oatmeal with hot water to form a paste. Let it cool down and then add at least one tablespoon of evening primrose oil. For the best result, apply a fresh face mask on your face and leave it until it dries up (this usually takes from 10 to 30 minutes). After that, sponge it and sprinkle the water onto your face to remove all traces of the mixture. Do not apply the mask on or near the eye.
